World Championship Results & Save the Date!

CONGRATS ARIZONA CHAMPIONSHIP TEAMS!!!

Arizona FIRST Teams had an AMAZING showing at the FIRST Championship in Houston! Congrats to...
  • FRC 2486 CocoNuts from Flagstaff received the FIRST Impact Award at the Championship and was inducted into the Hall of Fame! The Impact Award is the highest honor in FRC, and is given to the team that best represents a model for other teams to emulate and best embodies the purpose and goals of FIRST.
  • FRC 6413 Degrees of Freedom from Chandler received the Engineering Inspiration Award, celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school or organization and community, on Milstein Field. Degrees also had a Dean's List Winner!
  • FRC 9432 8-Bit from Anthem was a member of the World Championship winning alliance!
  • FRC 498 Cobra Commanders were a member of the finalist alliance on Hopper field.
  • FTC 16817 Rocksisaan Tech from Navajo Mountain received the Judge's Award on Ochoa field. 
  • FLL Team Golden Phoenix received the Excellence in Engineering Award.
  • FLL Team Alienators received the Rising All Star Award.

SAVE THE DATE...KICKOFF 2024!
Kickoff for the 2024/2025 "FIRST Dive" will be Saturday, September 7 at the Valley Christian Schools K-8 Campus (6101 S. River Drive, Tempe, AZ 85283). 

Kickoff will include numerous workshops, the new game field for "Into the Deep" and more! Registration for next season opens in the next couple of weeks...don't miss out on this year's ocean-themed season...water game confirmed!



SUMMER OPPORTUNITIES
  • Microchip Masters - looking for FTC teams to demo robots
    • Microchip MASTERs would like to showcase FIRST/VEX teams August 13th at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess in North Scottsdale. 
    • Tentative agenda is load in ~3pm, showcase from 5-7pm, then load out.
    • Teams that want to participate should bring a table (FLL) or field/game elements (FTC and FRC).
    • If you would like to participate, please contact Annalisa (annalisa.regalado@microchip.com) by May 24th.
  • Lobster Cup International FTC Competition
  • The Athena Fellowship is a virtual summer fellowship for rising 9th-12th grade students designed to empower future female leaders in STEM. Created by young women from Stanford, MIT, and Harvard, the fellowship seeks to identify top female students across the country. 
    • July 8th to August 2nd, and students may participate alongside other summer activities. 
    • Applications for the 2024 Summer Fellowship are due June 12th. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. To learn more and apply, please visit www.athenafellowship.org. If you have any questions, please email info@athenafellowship.org.
