Information for AZ & NM Championship Teams

Information for AZ & NM Championship Teams

Congrats to the teams that have qualified for the AZ & NM Championship so far! This page will be updated with more information as it becomes available. Please check back frequently. We will also send updates via email. Updated February 9, 2019

Reminders
  • Teams who qualify for the Championship MUST play in the other qualifiers they are registered for...think of this as bonus practice without the pressure of trying to qualify. Teams who have already qualified for Championship that no show for their other events will be disqualified from the Championship.
  • Payment for Championship is due by February 16 (or ASAP for teams that play at the Duel.) The Championship entry fee is $225.
  • Division assignments will be announced the week of Championship after the last qualifier, and will be assigned randomly.
  • Pit assignments and a judging schedule will be sent out a few days prior to the Championship. We will make an effort to have teams from the same school near each other in the pits, even if they end up in different divisions.
  • It can snow in Flagstaff in February! Please plan extra time before and after the event for travel. Be ready to get to Flagstaff before dark on Friday, and possibly stay the night on Saturday.
  • We will advance teams from the Championship directly to the FIRST World Championship in Houston. Start your fundraising efforts early for travel and entry fees.

The Hot Spot features just about any type of food you can think of, from pizza and burgers to an awesome salad bar, global cuisine and desserts. We'll have information soon for how to reserve and pay for your tickets if your team is interested.

Einstein Bros Bagels will open Saturday morning at 7 or 7:30 am, and Starbucks will open at 8. Other dining options will open later in the morning and stay open throughout the day.
