The Arizona Advocacy Conference is an opportunity for Arizona FIRST Teams to speak to their state senators and representatives about STEM and robotics, and demonstrate robots on the lawn of the Arizona Capitol.

The Arizona Advocacy Conference is modeled after the National Advocacy Conference that takes place in Washington, DC during the summer. This conference will empower students to develop relationships with their state legislators, teach the principles of effective advocacy, and allow teams to have their voices heard at the Arizona Capitol. FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition Teams are welcome to attend. This event is free to Arizona FIRST Teams!

SCHEDULE:
After registration:
Your team will receive an email confirming your attendance and instructions for contacting your legislators. Please reach out to them as soon as you can to schedule your appointments.

Gracious Professionalism Reminder

Remember, safety glasses are required at ALL TIMES in the pits and on the competition field, as are closed-toed shoes, walking with purpose, and any long hair tied back. These rules are for the safety of everyone and will be enforced at all our events. Please remind your teams of the event expectations and that Gracious Professionalism is expected at all times. Be respectful to anyone providing a reminder, and remember that our event staff is all volunteers - they are giving up their valuable time for you!
